- Ms. Bobbie Louise Phillips, age 79, of Bear Creek passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2014, at 2pm at Fall Creek Baptist Church in Bennett, with Rev. Scott Allmon, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Phillips was born in Chatham County, and was the daughter of the late Willis Chaffin Neal and Jessie McKenzie Neal. She had worked at C & A in Siler City, Townsend’s in Mt. Vernon Springs, Quality Mills in Carthage, and was a Caregiver to others. Ms. Phillips was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church, loved her family, and she loved solving word puzzles. She was preceded in death by her Husband-Clarence Odell Phillips; Sister-Beatrice Beal; Grandson-Nicky Hughes. Ms. Phillips is survived by her Daughter-Debbie Hughes & husband Steve of Bear Creek; Son-Mike Neal & wife Joan of Bear Creek; Sisters-Lois Oldham, Marie Barber, and Ann Thomas & husband Larry, all of Bear Creek. Granddaughter-Stephaine Meads & husband Eric of Brewster, Mass.; Grandson-Adam Neal & wife Carla of Pinehurst; Great-granddaughter- Mackenzie Meads; Great-grandsons-Jacob Meads & Beckett Neal.
Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014, from Noon until 1:45pm at the church prior to the service, and other times at her home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
