Bennie Spencer

Mr. Bennie Wayne Spencer, 64, of Ramseur, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, N.C. . Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015, at the Rich Family Cemetery(Off of Plainfield Road) in Sophia, N.C. with Rev. Harold Moffitt officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service, and at other times at their home located at 4391 Moffitt Mill Road in Ramseur.

Bennie was born in Randolph County, N.C. in 1951, son of the late James and Fannie Spencer. He worked as a dyeman for Clayson Textiles in Star, N.C. .  Bennie was known for his love for deer hunting and fishing. He loved his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda N. Spencer of the home, one daughter Amanda Jade Nelson also of the home, One brother, Winford Spencer and wife Mary Sue of Seagrove, N.C. , Two sisters, Hazel McNeill and husband Charles also of Seagrove, N.C. and Dorothy Alred and husband David of Robbins, N.C. and two grandchildren, Jayla and Nevaeh Edwards of the home.
