Albert Joseph McLaurin

June 22, 1921 - September 22, 2013

Siler City: Mr. Albert Joseph McLaurin 92, of 2075 McLaurin Rd., Siler City passed away at his home on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11 am at Rives Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tripp Foltz, Rev. Bob Wachs, Rev. Luther Lemon officiating.
Mr. McLaurin was a Chatham County native and was a farmer for many years. He took pride in caring for his livestock and any other animals he had. He was a member of Rives Chapel Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was the son of the late Albert H. & Lucy R. McLaurin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a Son- Darrell, Brothers- Neil, Howard, Milton, Ralph, & Daniel. Sisters- Hattie Jane & Ethel Lee.
Mr. McLaurin is survived by Wife of 69 yrs.- Margaret Ann McLaurin of the home. Sons- Harold McLaurin & wife Sadie of Bear Creek, Keith McLaurin & wife Mary of Sunnyvale, CA. 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren.
Mr. McLaurin will lie in state at Joyce-Brady Chapel from 11 am -6pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at his home. In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to the Rives Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
