Albert Chilton

Albert Barnette Chilton, 86, of Ramseur passed away on May 19, 2020 at the Siler City Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He was born Randolph County, N.C. on May 26, 1933 to Atlas Barnette Chilton and Troy Smith Chilton. He was a member of Maple Springs UMC and the Gideon Society. Albert operated Ramseur Barber Shop for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and NASCAR. He was an avid UNC sports fan, with basketball being his favorite.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Era Russell Chilton and brothers, Troy Smith Chilton and James Arthur Chilton.

He is survived by his daughter Teresa C. Phillips (David) of Glendon; grandson, Ben Phillips, of Kinston; brother, John Chilton (Betty) of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Mary Chilton (wife of Troy Smith Chilton), of Asheboro and Marie Russell (wife of Charles) of Whispering Pines and a host of family and friends.
